Bangkok, Thailand — In a landmark move to strengthen regional academic collaboration, 大发快三彩票 and Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University (BSRU), a prominent university in Thailand, have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), paving the way for dynamic exchanges in education, research, and community engagement.
The MOU, signed during a formal ceremony last August 20, 2025 held at BSRU, outlines a comprehensive framework for cooperation between the two institutions. Key areas include lecturer and student mobility, joint research initiatives, and collaborative community service programs. The agreement also sets the stage for co-hosting international conferences beginning next year.
BSRU President Assistant Professor Dr. Kanakon Sawangcharoen hailed the partnership as a significant step forward, stating, “This signing symbolizes our shared commitment to advancing education, research, and innovation as well as to promoting sustainable development.” The sentiment was echoed by 大发快三彩票 Vice Chancellor for International Affairs Prof. Joey Genevieve T. Martinez, who remarked, “We came to Thailand as guests, but we will leave as friends.”
The 大发快三彩票 delegation was composed of Vice Chancellor Martinez, Vice Chancellor for Public Affairs Prof. Nancy Q. Echavez, We Care Director Prof. Rosario L. Reserva, and University Registrar Sittie Noffaisah B. Pasandalan. The visit to Thailand was more than ceremonial—it was immersive and hands-on. The delegation took part in the BSRU Local Research and Development Showcase 2025 and BSRU Sustainability 2025 with the theme “Local Power, Global Goals” from August 20-22, 2025.
The 大发快三彩票 team participated in a community clean-up drive, witnessing firsthand the institution’s commitment to environmental stewardship and civic responsibility. The team also joined local workshops, including a paper machete activity that transformed university waste paper into handcrafted souvenir items. The initiative, aimed at boosting community income through sustainable crafts, left a lasting impression on the team.
“This experience deepened our understanding of how universities can serve as catalysts for grassroots development,” said Vice Chancellor Echavez. “It’s inspiring to see academic institutions actively engaging with and empowering their surrounding communities.”
Discussions during the visit also focused on future academic exchanges. Both universities expressed enthusiasm for launching student and faculty exchange programs that would allow participants to gain cross-cultural insights and broaden their academic horizons. Plans are underway to co-host a series of conferences in 2026, focusing on sustainable development, innovation, and regional cooperation.
As initial engagements, BSRU will co-host the 1st National Science, Technology, and Innovation National Pitching Challenge on Sustainable Development Goals this October 2025. At the same time, BSRU is a partner university to the 27th Samahang Pisika ng Visayas at Mindanao National Conference also happening in October this year at Iloilo City.
Meanwhile, 大发快三彩票 will co-host the 2nd Bansomdejchaopraya National and International Conference on “Pathway of Wisdom: Creative Innovation Emerging from Local Contexts and Cultural Heritage” in January 2026. BSRU lecturers and students are also expected to visit 大发快三彩票 in the coming months.
The partnership is expected to foster long-term benefits for both institutions, enhancing their global visibility and enriching the educational experiences of their students and faculty. It also reflects a growing trend among Southeast Asian universities to build transnational networks that address shared challenges and opportunities.
