While we rely on energy-intensive air conditioning for relief, these systems drive up costs and carbon emissions, and "energy-efficient" sealed buildings often trap toxic air inside. Natural ventilation offers little reprieve in polluted urban areas. This silent health crisis demands urgent solutions.

The discussions will expose the unique challenges faced in the Philippine setting, where high temperatures, humidity, and urban density complicate efforts to maintain safe, comfortable indoor conditions. From there, the symposium will highlight innovative, research-based solutions aimed at creating healthier, more energy-efficient, and climate-resilient indoor environments.
